Euro Fuel Trim Diagnostics
In Person Training with Jim Wilson
This course is designed to help technicians build confidence and accuracy when diagnosing fuel trim issues on European vehicles. Participants will learn how to adopt the Euro vehicle diagnostic mindset, understanding how European systems differ in strategy and data interpretation. The class covers a structured road test procedure that ensures accurate data collection and sets the foundation for efficient diagnostics.
Attendees will dive deep into additive and multiplicative fuel trim values, learning how to interpret what these numbers truly indicate about engine operation and underlying faults. The course also explains how oxygen sensors provide critical diagnostic feedback and how to use their data to validate fuel trim findings. Finally, technicians will learn how to effectively use OBDII information to connect test results, reduce guesswork, and make informed, confident repair decisions on Euro platforms.
